![]() ![]() Amusing when it's not screwing with your runs >.> I got to watch his first one get hit by the delayed second mine in the air and the first mine covered the entire distance between us before I could even take a step out of the way, lol. Instead his second mine shot was delayed for some reason. I had a Bomber Titan about half a screen away from me, and his mines should have landed a good distance from me to give me time to maneuver around them. I've only seen that once, but was enough. plus I put like a good page+ of notes in their enemy section for rankers because of that, but an accompanying video would be quicker to watch as a review anyway. So, I figured they would make a good fit for something like that. They're great at looking scary when you don't understand them, lol. I should just figure out how to deal with them" and then did some testing I was really amazed at how trivial they are. Ya, I was afraid of mines for way longer than I should have been. and for getting out of the blast range if one does explode nearby). The two things that helped me most when I was first learning how to deal with mines were: 1) learning to look for their shadows (which are visible before the mines fall), and 2) learning to appreciate Accelerate a lot more (useful both for avoiding mines entirely. ^^ IMO mines especially are problematic when you're first getting used to the game, since they do so much damage, and seem to come out of nowhere. But then currently, my time is probably better spent looking for obscure Aubergine bugs, anyway. So yeah, like Sylaris, I haven't put a serious amount of time into score optimization runs (they take a lot of time). or just the top score amongst your friends. It is, after all, the fairest way to ensure that the field is even, whether you're competing for one of the top scores. Which makes sense, since there are definitely some scores (not just top scores, but scores throughout the leaderboards!) that have benefitted from things that are no longer in the game (like Aubergine's "but it was only a small damage increase!" buff, unintended Multi-kill scenarios from no-score enemies (like Venom spider-bombs, Phase 6 Vespula wasps, and jellyfish fish-missiles), etc.).
